Hi! I'm Deirdre Smith and I'm an ADHD Coach.
Formerly, I was a complete mess who couldn't figure out why all the "simple" things in life were so hard.
When I was diagnosed with ADHD at age 40, everything finally clicked into place. I had been living a life that was constantly bumping up against how my brain is wired and it was both frustrating and exhausting.
I dove into books looking for solutions to help me manage my life. I discovered lots of tools and strategies for getting organized. It was the staying organized part that seemed to always elude me. I quickly learned that the closet system and the bins are not the end goal because the room just wouldn’t stay organized. Having the right storage "strategy" wasn’t the root of my problem. ADHD was.
When I dove into learning about my ADHD brain and how it works is when I started to see actual lasting change. I finally stopped fighting against it, learning new methods to work with it, harnessing my strengths, and creating strategies to support my challenges. Working with an ADHD Coach gave me the structure I needed to try out what was going to work or not. Experiencing the powerful of effects of coaching led me to get educated on how to help others.
My training is through ADDCA (ADD Coaches Academy) and I am a ADDCA Associate Certified Coach. I completed the Basic, Families and Advanced Coaching Programs. I bring sincerity, humor and a love of learning to coaching.
Let's talk more about how coaching can help you get you where you want to go! The "complimentary discovery call!" button is the easiest way to get started today! ⬇️
