Coaching for College Students
College life brings so many new opportunities and a ton of new challenges! The structure of high school is no longer there and you have to figure out how to get yourself to do all the things you need to do, but without structure, those things are usually pushed off until the last minute (or ignored completely).
We focus on understanding how your unique brain works, identifying your specific strengths and challenges. We throw out all the things you think you should be doing and figure out what will work for you.
We dig into:
I coach college students independently and what we discuss during our calls details is completely confidential. That said, parents are welcome to attend the first session when we identify your goals for coaching.
College can stretch you in so many wonderful ways. ADHD can stress you in so many frustrating ways! Through coaching, you can figure out how to work with your ADHD so that it's not a stress but a strength. Let's talk more during a free discovery call!

We dig into:
- Time management - We map out the course requirements & create small achievable deadlines based on your time challenges (time-blindness is a thing!).
- Planning & Prioritizing - With loads of free time, it's hard to decide what to work on, unless that thing is due tomorrow! Planning & prioritizing is a vital executive function that you haven't had opportunities to develop yet. High school provided so much of that structure. Working with a coach, you'll learn how to learn and strengthen that skill.
- Attention management - We figure out ways to do the thing when you said you were going to do it. There's no time management or implementing your plan without managing what you're paying attention to in the moment.
- Motivation - Uninteresting assignments are hard to get started. Without interest, we figure out how to activate ourselves to do the boring things. ADHD brains need interest in order to activate. Coaching provides the space to experiment with what helps get your brain activated.
- Self-Care - Sleep, food, movement, and social interactions are all essential parts of the whole picture, especially with ADHD. We address what's helping and what's not. With the right mix of self-care, you'll be setting yourself up to succeed.
- Accountability - Weekly coaching sessions are a great way to hold yourself accountable. We look for other forms of accountability too, like roommates as body doubles or finding class mates to form study groups.
